Ok, a moment of truth. Have you ever forgotten Valentine's Day?
It happens. We may forget to get a card or a box of chocolates, or make a dinner reservation and the day passes just as any other day. We just forget. Plain and simple.
I wonder how many of us forget that we are loved. Immeasurably. Unconditionally. Eternally. Extravagantly.
It reminds me of a song called "You Say" written by Lauren Diagle;
You You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe, oh I believe
What You say of me
I believe
It's a powerful song about identity, but it's also a statement of faith in a good God who tells the truth, and is worthy to be trusted when He says or declares something
It's faith to believe God when He says He loves us.
Even though we feel unworthy or unacceptable.
That's when His arm's are opened wider.
So embrace the love. He's waiting for you to come running in.
